Privacy Policy — Nodo

Last updated: May 2, 2026

1. Introduction

saturo.tech ("we", "our", or "us") built Nodo as a free, ad-supported Android application. Nodo is a file management app designed with a private-by-default approach. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

2. Information We Collect

We aim to minimize data collection. Nodo does not collect or store personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.

  • Device Storage Access: Required so you can browse, copy, move, rename, and delete files on your device. Your files remain on your device unless you explicitly transfer them.
  • Remote Connections (SMB / SCP): If you choose to connect to your own servers, connection profiles such as host, username, and password are stored locally on your device only. We do not receive or relay your credentials.
  • Crash / Diagnostic Data: Third-party services may collect technical logs such as device model, Android version, app version, IP address, and error traces to improve stability.

3. How We Use Information

Information is used only to operate and improve the app, including:

  • Managing files at your direct request
  • Connecting directly to your selected SMB or SCP servers
  • Diagnosing crashes and fixing bugs
  • Improving app performance and reliability
  • Displaying ads that help keep the app free

4. Third-Party Services

Nodo may use trusted third-party services that process limited data under their own privacy policies.

  • Google Play Services
  • Google AdMob for advertisements

AdMob may use pseudonymous identifiers, such as your device advertising ID, to show relevant ads. You can manage ad personalization in your Android settings.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Nodo does not maintain servers containing your personal files or credentials. App settings and saved connection profiles remain on your device until you delete the app, clear app data, or remove them manually.

6. Security

We use platform-provided security features offered by Android to help protect locally stored data. However, no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Children's Privacy

Nodo is not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
